Iris De Brito & Kwenda Lima - When Kizomba landed in the UK - August 2005

As explained in the intro of the video, Kizomba exists since the 1980’s - for more on the history of Kizomba. In August 2005, Kizomba was introduced for the first time outside the Lusophone community into the Salsa and Lambada scene @ Scala Latino for the August Bank Holiday party. It’s now been more than 4 years and Kizomba has grown in the UK thanks to teachers such as Kwenda Lima, Riquita or myself. New blood stormed the scene and is now teaching regularly around London, e.g. Studio Afro Latino teachers Norma and Said.
