Since the 15th century in Japan the KOBIDO art lineage has existed as an exclusive treatment for the Imperial family and the very wealthy. In fact the average Japanese citizen has probably never experienced or even heard of KOBIDO. To this day the KOBIDO clinic in Japan has remained exclusive to the Japanese elite. The KOBIDO tradition itself is an art lineage rather than a family lineage. This means that the KOBIDO tradition is passed from master to student without restriction due to bloodlines. In 2005, Master, Ito, after serving as head of the KOBIDO lineage for over 50 years, appointed Shogo Mochizuki his successor and the 26th Master of the KOBIDO art form. Dr. Shogo Mochizuki has been in the KOBIDO since 1977, and is one of three KOBIDO appointed instructors under master Ito. Our mission is to impart the techniques, culture, and philosophy of the KOBIDO tradition, to the future generations of the world. We intend to offer the Japanese/Eastern way of healing and esthetics to the world while maintaining our quality, integrity, and exclusivity.
