Wolfgang Michels (ex-Percewood’s Onagram) performs “Desert Walker“ @ Bernsteinbar, Hamburg-Schanzenviertel on March 3, 2010. “Desert Walker“ was written by Michels (music & lyrics) in 1967 and appeared on the 1979 Michels album “Crazy enough“. The song became a #2 hit on BBC radio in 1968 after Michels had sent a tape to the Beep. Alexis Korner who knows a thing or two about good music heard the song being played on the radio and invited Michels to London. The rest is history.
