Known as the “First Lady Of Song,“ Ella Fitzgerald was one of the great popular singers of the twentieth century. “Something’s Gotta Give“ was written in 1954 by Johnny Mercer and recorded by Ella Fitzgerald in 1964 for her Verse LP, Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Johnny Mercer Songbook, arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle.
