China Launches Improved New Type 054AG Super Frigate, More Hulls to be built, to 50 units or more

The new Super frigate informally carries the designation Type 054 AG, with G noting improved or upgraded. Now Huangpu Shipyard based in Guangzhou has launched the first Type 054-AG presumably around the beginning of August. Ships under construction at two yards may grow Type 054A fleet to 50 units or more.
