IELTS / TOEFL Academic Vocabulary: Environment

When discussing the environment, there are many aspects to consider, including habitats and ecosystems, biodiversity, eco-friendly actions and hazardous ones, and much more. The environment is also a topic that both the IELTS and TOEFL exams like to ask about in the essay writing section. In order to get a high score or band in task 2, you must have a wide variety of vocabulary available to you in terms of the lexical resource score. In this video, we look at a collection of words dealing with the environment, pollution, and the consequences of these. Here is a sample of the words in this video: biodegradable, flora and fauna, ecology vs. ecosystem, conservation and preservation, pesticides, contaminate, solvents, aerosols, drought, calamity, arid, and many more.
