Producing the Sea Shanties

Hello to all! It was a great honor for me as gamer to be contracted by Ubisoft to produce and do the musical direction of the shanties heard on the Adrasteia. I would like to mention that 75% of the shanties were composed by my friend Giannis Georgantelis in Athens. The two choirs that I chose for the production are: The Missolonghi Municipal Choir directed by Spyros Cholevas in Missolonghi, Greece (Mixed choir) and the Zakynthian Voices here in Montreal directed by Petros Pylarinos (Male only). Half of the songs in Ancient Greek are actual poems written 3,000 ago by the lyric poets of the time like Anacreon, Alcaeus of Mytilene and Archilochos. The shanties come in 2 flavors: those heard on the boat all the time and those that your crew sings according to your accomplishments. A lot of fellow gamers have been asking for the lyrics and their translations. I will ask Ubi what are their plans but it is up to them. I hope they are a nice companion to your long voyages on the Adrasteia!
