’Hot Cop’ is a song by the American disco group Village People. Village People was the creation of Jacques Morali, a French composer. ’Hot Cop’ became a hit in the gay community, the reason for releasing it today at the day of the Canal Parade today and tomorrow at the Gay Pride in Amsterdam. ‘Hot Cop’ was released in 1978 as the second single from their third studio album Cruisin’ (1978). The song reached Number 2 on the US Billboard Hot Disco charts in early 1979.
