‘I Can’t Stop Loving you’ was written by country singer and composer Don Gibson in 1957. In 1962 the song was covered by Ray Charles and released on his album with country songs ‘Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music’. Released as a single it became a worldwide hit for Ray Charles and a signature song of the decade. It went to #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1962 and also reached #1 in the UK and many countries in Europe. This live version was recorded by AVRO Television on the 13th of July in 1980 at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague, The Netherlands.
