Metallica - Ride The Lightning (Pitch Shifted E Standard) HQ

An updated version of a video I did a year ago with much higher quality audio files and a better pitch shifting program. Context: Metallica’s second album Ride the Lightning (1984) isn’t in E standard - A=440hz tuning, but is actually slightly sharp, some songs more than others. I haven’t been able to find a definitive reason as to why this is, but the prevailing theory is it was deliberately sped up in post to sound more “aggressive“ (this is most prominently heard in James’ vocals). I’ve adjusted both the speed and pitch to bring it back to what it likely sounded like when it was recorded but before it was mastered. I think this makes the album sound richer, fuller, and more consistent, as For Whom the Bell Tolls and Creeping Death are sharper than the rest of the album. Key - (% slowed to/pitch adjusted by in semitones i.e. 95%/) 0:00 Fight Fire with Fire (99%/) 4:48 Ride the Lighting (99%/) 11:29 For Whom the Bell Tolls (97%
