The Human Parade: Ignat Solzhenitsyn

Ignat Solzhenitsyn is a pianist and conductor. He is also a son of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, the great Russian writer who was one of the Soviet Union’s most formidable opponents. Ignat is an expert on his father’s work, and on the Soviet Union that produced the work (so to speak). For “The Human Parade,“ Jay Nordlinger interviewed him in June 2011. They spent the first half-hour talking about Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and the Soviet Union; they spent the second half-hour talking about music.
