A statue is erected in Bristol of Henrietta Lacks, the ‘Mother of Modern Medicine’

Hand in hand with the recent mania for disposing of statues of white men has arisen an enthusiasm for erecting those portraying black women. Unfortunately, those being commemorated in this way do not really seem to have done anything worthy of note.
