LIVE: Coronavirus sceptics protest against COVID-19 containment measures in Berlin

Coronavirus sceptics take to the streets of the German capital on Saturday, May 22, on the weekend ahead of the Pentecost that is observed in the country on Monday. The group is expected to hold the rally despite a police ban. Following falling numbers of COVID-19 infections across Germany, the city of Berlin relaxed its restrictions, removing the night-time curfew from Wednesday and allowing museums to re-open under certain conditions. This is followed by the re-opening of restaurants’ terraces for the first time since autumn 2020.
