Myanmar coup: Family, friends mourn men killed in overnight Yangon raid

Families and friends grieved on Saturday over two men killed in an overnight raid in Myanmar’s largest city. “I told my son that we have nothing and we will die if we go against them,“ said Than Saw, mother of 37-year-old trishaw peddler, Si Thu, who was killed during a night raid by the military. Witness Nyi Htway said the soldiers had opened fire at a sit-in protest on Friday and three people were arrested and beaten. Neighbours went to the police station to call for their release, but the police fired live rounds at them.
