Britain has a fine tradition of helping real refugees, not chancers, scroungers and ne’er-do-wells

Since the end of the Second World War in 1945, this country has offered refuge to several waves of people in need. These asylum-seekers though, in the 1940s, 50s and 60s behaved quite differently from the shower we are currently seeing.
