Half-Life (PS2) - Toilet Scientists Conversation Easter Egg

Part of my Half-Life Fact Files series: This is a demonstration of an Easter egg that exists only in the PlayStation 2 version of Half-Life involving the two scientists you find sitting in the restroom stalls in the map c1a0d, better known as the game’s beginning Anomalous Materials chapter. In this port, Gearbox added a number of humorous conversations between these two scientists which do not occur in the PC version. You normally hear three different dialogues repeating. However, there is a hidden fourth conversation that only plays once every five minutes. This video exhibits all four possible chats. Credit to Barnz for pointing this out to me plus providing the map’s entity data and Hoaxer for making the tools that made it possible. Note: Due to a scripting error, a part of the secret Easter egg exchange overlaps with one of the normal chats. My annotations indicate the correct lines that are supposed to play.
