95-99

95-99 A movie inspired by Russian cinema of the 90s. The freedom of the 90s is inextricably linked to the lack of understanding of what to do with it. Perestroika was the point of transition from the singular to the plural. It is during this period that the image of the double often, almost obsessively, appears. The movie uses a chess structure as a metaphor for duality. The heroines slowly make their moves, and the numbers of the chess boards, corresponding to the moves of the famous game of Kasparov against artificial intelligence in 1997, pop up on top.
