Midnight Blues with Olivia Smart and Adrian Diaz Brochud, Spanish Ice Dance Team, 2021-22 RD

Three years to the date of my first ’Ice Academy of Montreal’ post (featuring Olivia and Adrian practicing the then-Pattern Dance, the Tango Romantica) I’m back in Montreal and happy to share the current season Pattern Dance, the Midnight Blues, with Olivia and Adrian again! The theme for Rhythm Dance this year is “Street Dance”, with official rulebook examples ranging from blues to reggae, jazz to funk, and even hip-pop, popping and krump. Suffice to say it’s going to be a very entertaining Olympic Ice Dance season! Olivia and Adrian represent Spain and train at the Ice Academy of Montreal, and their 2021-22 Rhythm Dance choreography is by Marie-France Dubreuil.
