In 2007,award-winning Australian journalist Julian Assange and his Wikileaks platform released video footage of American war crimes. Since then he has been hounded and vilified by an embarrassed U.S government. In 2012 he claimed asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he lived for 7 years. In 2019 he was forcibly removed from the embassy and was immediately arrested by British authorities colluding with the . He was incarcerated in London’s Belmarsh prison, where he remains today while he awaits the outcome of his final appeal against extradition to the U.S. Successive Australian governments have failed in their duty to support this admirable human being, our fellow citzen, who had devoted his career to serving the public interest. Julian Assange has suffered enough, whatever our opinions of him and his actions. It is time to Free The Man!
