Building a Soda Kiln

This is a time lapse video of the construction of a Soda Kiln for firing ceramics. The kiln is located at the studio of Justin Rothshank. It was constructed by Justin Rothshank, Jamie Morrow, and Mark Tarabula during the summer of 2014. It is a catenary arch with insulating adobe. The kiln is fired with natural gas and Ward Power burners. More information at
