How does one define “you“? Bloom Into You calls attention to the performativity in our relationships with others--the masks we wear to hide our true selves. Framed through the student council’s play in the second half, Touko in particular struggles with her identity, trying to maintain her special image by not letting anyone see the person inside--except Yuu.
