Flip Flappers - A Thematic Exploration

I take a crack at explaining Flip Flappers, but I remain unsatisfied. It’s a show I thought was mediocre despite attempts to understand why people liked it. It’s got gay characters, looks cool, and references psychology and art and whatever, fine, enjoy it where I couldn’t. No reason for me to get mad. Also I didn’t understand what a coming of age story was FUCK. Also ‘depth’ is relative and thus, not worthwhile as praise or criticism.
