As Goalkeeper Coaches, it is important to be creative. We often have multiple goalkeepers in our sessions. How do you manage larger groups of #goalkeepers?
Here is a #gktraining clip from a recent #goalkeeping session by our director Philadelphia Union Goalkeeper Coach Phil Wheddon. You can see a warm up phase and then a live phase.
How can you adapt this environment to suit your needs and adapt to the level of #goalkeeper you are working with? For example: can you manipulate the size of the area, size of the goals? Don’t have 4 goals?? What can you use?
Coaching is about adapting your surrounding and environment to bring out the best in the athletes you work with.
