GOALKEEPER TRAINING | Scan Move Control Pass | 2 Drills to improve a keepers passing ability

Hi thanks for taking a look at what First Class Goalkeeping has to offer. Session ideas are posted weekly on my social media accounts so please check out and follow my Facebook and Instagram if they are of interest. This video shows two 1 minute videos of: 1st Drill is broken into 3 separate sessions 1. Movement & Passing - Fast foot work to maneuver and reposition before playing a first time pass back to the coach. 2. Movement, Control & Pass - Same movement this time the pass is more game like and therefor a touch is required to gain control before scanning to pass back over a further distance. 3. Unorthodox possession - The receiving ball is bounced back for the goalkeeper to regain control quickly before making their pass. the bounced service means the importance of their footwork is essential to help get the ball under control successfully. 2nd Drill looks at the goalkeepers ability to find a target or space. Two goals are set up to perform as a target area. The goalkeeper continues the short control and pass before moving into a longer range passing while trying to avoid mannequins set up as attackers. These attackers mean the goalkeeper must scan before a decision on how they will pass e.g. lofted, firm, through ball or more accuracy with a side footed pass. Thanks for watching and please help by Liking if you enjoyed the drill. and find the videos useful, Please share if you know of people that may have use for the session ideas and comment if you want to see something different or have a thought you would like to share.
