Building The 5-Axis CNC Machine in a Small Room: A DIY Journey. (part2)

#DIY#CNC#5axis#Awesome_CNC_Freek As a continuation of the previous video, I will delve into the improvements made to the machine. It includes new design changes, answers to viewer questions, and most exciting new challenges. My CNC machine is designed as a 5-axis CNC machine with the ability to machine steel, housed within a 400 mm square soundproof box. Adjustments to this design have improved the rigidity and accuracy of the Y-axis, and the newly available space at the top can be used for coolant tanks and other applications. It also allows the use of longer ballscrews, increasing the stroke of the Y-axis by 20%. New design changes based on viewer input and new challenges will also be presented. I will also answer some questions about the previous video, explain in detail why I chose the spindle motor , why I used small diameter end mills, and explain the measures I have taken to deal with chips.
