KU Quick Tips - Rotation II: Combining Multiples

This KU Quick Tip is the second in the series on rotation. It focuses on how to handle the wind up and follow through when combining multiple techniques in order to maintain a fluid and continuous chain of movement. Building on the lesson from the previous video (Rotation I), I show how the set, follow through, and relaxation phases of rotation in delivering a technique are blended with the preceding and following techniques without breaking the rotation. Cody Stewart is a martial arts instructor of Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo Jutsu under Hanshi Patrick McCarthy. KU is a style of karate that utilizes impacting, clinch, throws, chokes, joint locks, and groundwork within a traditional Japanese budo framework. Emphasis is on civil self defense against habitual acts of physical violence (HAPV) and how all of the defensive themes are embodied in kata movements.
