More information & pre-order-options: __________________________________ Wundaberg (Mountains of Wonders): This song is about the legendary Untersberg in Salzburg. There are many myths and legends about characters which used to be at home in the Untersberg region. There are also stories about a time hole in which you can get trapped and disappear when you climb the mountain. In reality, a lot of people went missing on the Unterberg, inspiring many legends that the mountain literally “swallows” people. All these motives are implemented in the song. The Untersberg has so many tales that you could easily create a concept album of its own about it. VINSTA is the musical outlet of the Austrian multi-instrumentalist Christian Höll. The idea behind the project is to create a unique world based on the rich fundus of Austrian culture: The bleak myths of the mountain region fit seamlessly into the world of metal with its tendency to invoke fantastic netherworlds and vast sceneries. Traditional yodeling and the regional Austrian dialect from Salzburg are used for the lyrics in order to retain a dialect vocabulary that is otherwise becoming more and more forgotten. With „Freiweitn“, VINSTA raises their Alpine Metal to a new musical level.
