Royal Family Appear in Special 85th Anniversary Beano Comic! The Royal Family featured alongside Dennis the Menace in a special edition of the Beano magazine released today. The 85th-anniversary edition features King Charles and Queen Camilla as well as Prince William and Princess Catherine (Will & Kate). They joined other celebrities like Adele, Ant and Dec, and Sir David Attenborough. The Beano is the world’s longest-running comic. First published in 1938, there are thought to only be 30 first editions left in the world. This copy was sold in 1999 for £6,200. Another copy was sold last year for £15,000. King Charles and Queen Camilla first met Dennis the Menace back in 2013. The royal couple were visiting the publisher DC Thomson & Co in Dundee to officially open a new printing press.
