A gunman armed with a knife attacked IDF soldiers as they disembarked the bus, injuring two people. The attacker was shot at and succumbed to his injuries, passing away later. Media reports identified the assailant as Abu Fareh, a resident of the nearby settlement Rakhat. Additionally, Israeli intelligence services announced the arrest of an officer from the security forces of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Radaa Al-Saadi, who is suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack on a section of Route 90 north of Jericho. The officer fired upon five vehicles with a machine gun, injuring three individuals.
