12 Gazans Drowned Trying to Get Aid Dropped in Sea Gaza’s govt media office says 18 Palestinians were killed in total trying to collect aid that was airdropped. As well as the 12 drowned when they went into the sea to retrieve food packages, the other six were trampled to death in “stampedes” when other aid packages landed on the ground, a statement read. It called for “an immediate end“ to airdrops, calling them “offensive, wrong, inappropriate and useless“.
