In a groundbreaking new study, researchers at the University of Minnesota have 3D printed a functioning centimeter-scale human chambered heart muscle pump in the lab. This video shows how the bioink containing cells and proteins is printed in a slurry bath. The entire process takes less than five minutes, but this video is at five-times the normal speed.
