Chandrayaan-2 launch

A GSLV Mk-III M1 launch vehicle launched the Chandrayaan-2 lunar mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota, India, on 22 July 2019, at 09:13 UTC (14:43 IST). The Chandrayaan-2 lunar mission aims to put the Vikram lander near South Pole of the Moon in September 2019. Subsequently, the Pragyan rover will roll out and carry out experiments on Lunar surface for a period of 1 Lunar day which is equal to 14 Earth days.
