70 years of angle grinder development

In 1953, Metabo introduced the first angle grinder to the market: The slow-speed model no. 763 with a speed of 1,600 rpm. For comparison: Current models reach speeds up to 11,000 rpm and more. In close coordination with professional users in crafts and industry, Metabo has significantly expanded the range over decades, making them safer, more manageable, and more powerful. Today, Metabo’s angle grinder program meets all requirements. And to this day, the production of many angle grinder models is deeply rooted in the hometown of Nürtingen – from the idea to production and assembly.
