Flash floods completely submerge Texas highway

Video from social media showed vehicles pushed off the side of Highway 87 between O’Donnell and Lubbock, with some submerged in surging floodwater as heavy rainfall continued. The National Weather Service (NWS) had issued flash flooding alerts throughout the southern U.S. state of Texas on Thursday, warning of wind gusts up to 70mph and advising residents to stay off main roads and seek higher ground.
