Intention vs. Desire: Who’s Really Flying the Plane of Your Life?

How do unconscious desires and intentions influence a significant part of our lives? How can we determine if our intentions are in control of our actions, and why is it important to examine our intentions in relation to our desires? We’ve all experienced those sleepless nights when our bodies refuse to sleep, even though we have something important to do the next day. In these moments, we realize how little control we actually have over our bodies and the countless actions happening inside them. It seems as if our conscious decisions have little connection to the rest of our biological beings, much like how unrelated I am to my dog. But what if a significant part of our lives is influenced by unconscious desires and intentions? This may be difficult to comprehend, but even someone committing a heist doesn’t see themselves as bad. They justify their actions, believing they are restoring balance to the universe and rectifying the injustices they’ve experienced. Let’s analyze the desires and intentions that control our reality. Everything else we do, thinking it impacts reality, is often insignificant compared to the functions of our organs or the conscious thought of needing rest. Biofeedback, such as conscious breathing, can provide control over unconscious processes. It allows us to settle down and gain control over desires that prevent us from sleeping. However, what about the other desires that lead us astray in various aspects of our lives? We set goals but find ourselves following whims and desires, with intentions merely riding along. To determine if our intentions are truly in the driver’s seat, we must examine our own lives. Consider whether your intentions or desires are flying the plane. In the case of a criminal, is the intention to restore balance or the desire for money driving them? Here’s a tool for self-reflection: observe if you have intentions behind your actions. Having intentions in the driver’s seat means having more control over your entire reality. The challenge lies in checking whether the intention or desire enters the cockpit first. Do you find yourself taking action without considering the underlying intention? According to Kabbalah, the very first time we perform an action with good intention, we reveal the spiritual world. Kabbalah teaches us to craft spiritual intentions and ensure they take the driver’s seat before any action. Just as we can make the unconscious process of breathing more conscious by monitoring ourselves, we can make our intentions more spiritual, aimed at bestowing. Eventually, we can apply these intentions to every action we perform, unveiling ourselves in the spiritual world. ►Take the Free KabU Course to Find True Answers About Life: This course is a journey into understanding life and how all its pieces come together.
