Finishing leather edges with beeswax

The softened beeswax has been caked onto the edge of the leather, then the edge iron is heated to the point where it will melt the wax, but not scald the leather. You can see the wax melt and render into the leather when it turns shiny. The beeswax has soaked into the leather pores when the sheen goes away.
