Gealdýr - Völuspá (Official Music Video)

Gealdýr’s version of Einar Selvik’s (Wardruna) Völuspá, which was written for the TV series Vikings. Völuspá is one of the most famous poems of the Poetic Edda. It tells about the creation of the world (Ginnungagap) and the ending of it (Ragnarök). Nowadays, most people usually see life as something linear - in the Old Norse way of thinking everything in life goes through cycles instead. Ragnarök is not the ending of life.
