A Tribute To Machli: Tiger Machali was born in 1996 in India’s Ranthambore National park. She was the Royal Tigress of Ranthambore National Park & ruled over a 350 square kilometer area. The name Machli translated means Fish. She was named this because of the fish-shaped mark on her left ear & face. She was the most famous Tigress in the world. She was the greatest fighter ever seen & the greatest mother. In her lifetime she earned the titles “Lady of the Lakes” “Crocodile Hunter”, Queen Mother of Tigers”& “ Queen of Ranthambore”. Since birth Machli was a dominating cub. When she was two, the Tigress began hunting on her own. This was the first sign that she was going to separate from her mother. Later she challenged her own mother and emerged victorious. As a result, she gained a large part of her mother’s prime territory & became the new queen of Ranthambore.
