Where the Action Is 1966 – The Temptation Walk – Ain’t Too Proud to Beg, The Temptations

Airdate: September 1, 1966 (Thursday) The Action Kids – Mike Williams, Jerilyn Stapleton, Ted LePlatte, Lesley Evans, Pete Menefee (credited as the choreographer), Jill Gordon, Roger Minami and Roberta Tennes – show us their various takes on “The Temptation Walk”, a popular dance move in the mid 60’s. You can see the kids on Bandstand and Shebang doing their versions of the Temptation Walk in clips from around 1966. I think, and correct me if I’m wrong please, that the basic core of the move is flexing both arms up at the elbow to the left-left, and then right-right and stepping back and forth in the direction of the arms you are swinging.I believe that each of the couples are just adding their own embellishment when they come to the front.
