Virgilius Noreika- Pieta, Signore

Lithuanian tenor Virgilius Noreika (1935-), sings one of my favourite versions of the sacred song Pieta, Signore, composed by Alessandro Stradella. I find that Noreika’s voice has a haunting, almost otherworldy quality in this performance, which fits Pieta, Signore extremely well. Enjoy! Recorded in 1978.
