Leopard Attacks Hyena Defending It’s Cub (Orpen Gate Kruger National Park)

This was taken at the end of 2019. (SOUND ON) WATCH TILL END This incredibly rare sighting of a leopard and her cub playing was interrupted by a curious hyena. What the Hyena didn’t take into consideration that a mothers instinct is insurmountable and she will stop at nothing to protect her own. This is very unique and extremally rare to see this interaction and what was even more fascinating was how the cub spotted the hyena and ran off into the distance and also once the mother had chased the hyena off she went to find her cub immediately. The cub was okay but frighten, clinging to the trunk of a 5m tree 50m back from this area in the video.
