Yangtze River sees dangerous water levels

Relentless rain in southern China has led to extreme water levels in many parts of the Yangtze River. On Tuesday morning, the reading at the Hankou Hydrological Station in Wuhan exceeded the warning level of more than 27 meters. The city’s ferry services have been suspended. Several other stations along the river have also reported dangerous levels. More rain is forecast in these regions in the coming days.
