Reflection of sunlight on a mirror or water surface is not an electric discharge (electricity is not visible). Lightning is just the reflection of sunlight by torrents of water formed by an exothermic chemical reaction (over 26,000°C). H₂ ½ of O₂→ H₂O heat → torrents of water reflecting sunlight.
