The Book of Genesis, but its Gnostic...

I’ve been doing a lot of research into Gnosticism recently for a larger project that I’ve been working on. But since I haven’t been uploading a lot recently I figured I could do some shorter videos in the mean time. And what better way to explain Gnosticism than to tell its entire commentary on the bible with zero context. I was inspired by those videos where people explain various things in a simple style and I thought, “well I could do that.“ So to explain the context a little bit, there are a lot of different groups that were running around in the 2nd century that were called “gnostic.“ However today most scholars general only consider a few of those groups to actually be “gnostic“ because of their commentaries on the Old Testament which developed to an elaborate mythology which people call “gnostic.“ So in short this video is my attempt to harmonize the various “gnostic“ stories into one cohesive narrative. This video uses the book of Genesis, the book of Enoch, the Hypostasis of the Archons, and the Apocryphon of John as its inspirations.
