Recommended camera settings for beginners:
Camera Mode: Switch camera to M (Manual mode)
ISO: ISO 3200 (dark site) or ISO 800 (brighter sky)
Shutter Speed: 30 seconds
Aperture: Widest aperture (smallest number your lens can do such as f1.8)
White balance: Daylight
Use a tripod and a self timer or intervalometer to reduce camera shake
