Devastation on Kiev freeway after fighting

Once it was home to traffic making its way in and out of Kiev, but now the Zhytomyr highway is only home to rubble and debris. Burned out cars, broken trees, twisted hunks of metal, even destroyed tanks line both sides of the road, and gas stations are often little more than burned out husks. For over a week, the Ukrainian authorities have been trying to restore the thoroughfare, rendered inaccessible due to intense fighting on the outskirts of Kiev. This video captures the devastation along one of Kiev’s main roads.
