KAYAK SUPPORT 2020 YEAR IN REVIEW

Oh what a year it’s been. In January 2020 I was 6 months out of college, starting to work for Verus Kayaks and I couldn’t even hit a roll. Obviously, this had to change. I made it my mission to learn everything I could about the ways of the river, and we decided to film the whole process. With the cameras rolling, I took every chance I got to go boating, push myself, and see what I could learn from my friends and teachers. Thanks to the incredible mentorship and patience of homies like Josh Pecaric, Andrew Hawkins, Adam Baggett, Meg Pullin, Sam Hopkins, Cameron Hall, Olivia Foskey, Travis Overstreet II and so many others I don’t have the space to mention, I made it farther than I ever would have expected. From local VA classics like the Goshen Pass and Johns Creek, exploring rivers from Massachusetts to Washington, firing up the Upper Gauley, and meeting wonderful river people along the way, just a year ago I couldn’t have dreamed I’d be reminiscing on all this magic.
