Pro-Palestinian protests spread to universities around the world as Gazans express gratitude

Student protests in support of Palestinians have spread to universities across Europe and Australia. In Paris, police forcibly removed student activists who had occupied the prestigious Sciences Po university in protest against Israel’s conduct in its war against Hamas in Gaza. German police also removed pro-Palestinian protesters from the grounds of Berlin’s Humboldt University after several demonstrators used hate speech. Competing rallies were staged at the University of Sydney campus, with hundreds of protestors supporting both the Palestinian and Israeli cause. In New York City, dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested at two universities, while a rally in support of Israeli and Jewish students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, was set up across the street from an anti-war encampment.
