A friend of mine brought to my attention that the first scene with Andrew Tefler’s suicide could also be a reference to a Biblical story of Judah. Andrew, who was the first of the disciples, betrays Jesus either for material gain (since wealth is emphasized) or secret knowledge, since he was into the ends up hanging himself. Also, since I don’t really know anything about the models/makes of cars, I guess I missed a direct reference to the beast and also something about the engine being a V10 (10 horns).
