Sunday, April 3 ..Terpsis festival is a big celebration, a celebration that aims to underline and remind the countless choices a woman has, to express her female energy. Through the festival we will learn all the aspects of this female dance, the traditional Oriental, the contemporary, the theatrical, the Tribal fusion, their technics, the endless choices in style and music tunes. Women from all over Greece and different countries in the world will unite through the art of dance, they will exchange experiences, they will teach, they will be taught, they will cooperate to create. They will redefine femininity especially after the changes all of us have experienced. They will express their doubts, their hopes, their visions and discover those mechanisms that through art and contact with the body will absorb life giving power and mindfulness to carry on to every day life. Women through the art of dance come in contact with their past, since this female dance has roots and origins from ancient times. Women in different civilisations and times would sway to the same or similar moves. Dancing moves that express fertility and beauty, the hospitality of mother earth and the offer of the gift of life. Movements that symbolise the infinite circle of life and creation.
